Road safety, road infrastructure, and transport security are now among the key priorities of transport policy and sustainable development worldwide. Effective solutions in this area are based on scientific research, data analysis, and international exchange of experience.
From January 11 to 15, 2026, Arystan Massanov, Director of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute for Road Safety, took part in the TRB Annual Meeting 2026 in Washington, D.C. (USA) — one of the largest international events in the field of transport and road safety.
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) brings together specialized and technical committees working directly on road safety issues: accident analysis, road infrastructure safety, traffic participant behavior, speed management, data application, and evaluation of the effectiveness of measures to reduce the risk of road accidents.
This multi-level expert system allows for a comprehensive approach to road safety — from scientific research to the practical implementation of solutions.
KazSRIRS’s participation in the TRB Annual Meeting became an important platform for professional dialogue, studying advanced international practices, and strengthening expert ties. The experience gained will be used to develop and improve the road safety system in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
KazSRIRS continues its active international work, introducing the best international practices to improve road safety in the country.
