On October 6th 2023 in Prague city, Memorandum of understanding was signed between AFRY CZ S.R.O. , Czech Republic, by Petr Kosan, Executive Director and Kazakh Scientific Research Institute for Road Traffic Safety, Kazakhstan, by Arystan Massanov, director.
AFRY’s history goes back to 1895. Over the course of more than 125 years, company has been part of several major technological shifts including electricity, automation, and digitalization, being in the forefront of industrial transformation. Now AFRY is pioneers of technology and the leading partner in the sustainability transition. Company has leading positions in hydrogen, pumped storage, offshore wind, transmission, biobased materials, metals, mining and road safety.
Both companies are familiar with each other hav e already successfully completed one significant project in 2020-2021, «Implementation of the European Road Infrastructure Safety Assessment Program in the Republic of Kazakhstan» , funded by World Bank. Since December 2022 companies are jointly implementing project «Strategic Risk Assessment across the Strategic Risk Network», funded by EBRD, and expect to complete it in December 2023.
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AFRY and KazSRIRS is to promote collaboration to working in road safety and other sectors.
