Within the framework of the assignment of the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development of the draft document of the Departmental normative document “Road Safety Procedures” is ongoing.
As part of this work, on March 13, 2024, “Kazakh Research Institute for Road Safety” LLP, participated in a workshop on road safety. The event, which brought together experts from Sweden and Kazakhstan, was a significant step towards road safety.
This important event emphasizes not only the commitment of Kazakhstan scientists to improve national road safety standards, but also the global safety initiative presented by Vision Zero. The event organized by Swedish Transport Administration, provided a platform for exchange of experience and transfer of best practices between the two countries.
The main objective of the meeting was to develop strategies and action plans aimed at reducing accidents and saving lives on the roads. High-level speakers from the Swedish Transport Administration shared their knowledge and experience, presenting successful practices and innovative approaches.
The workshop participants discussed road safety management issues, methods of preventive work of law enforcement agencies, and road design features that contribute to the creation of safe infrastructure.
