Following an initiative by the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a working meeting was held with experts from KazSRIRS. During the meeting, the structure and priority areas of work in the field of road safety were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on making scientifically sound decisions based on risk factor analysis, as well as on the use of modern management tools focused on prevention and systematic reduction of the consequences of road accidents. Committee Chairman Murat Kabdenov noted the need to develop a National Road Safety Concept that takes into account the specifics of Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the agency is consistently moving towards a management model based on science and accurate data, which will ensure a sustainable reduction in mortality and injuries on the country’s roads.
