Participation was carried out as an affiliated member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), operating under the US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, which provides the right to ongoing professional participation in TRB activities, including the work of technical committees and expert groups.
The focus was on the work of the following committees:
• ACD11 — Systemic Transport Safety Management and Safety Management Systems
• AHB25 — Traffic Accident Data Analysis, Performance Indicators, and Data-Driven Solutions in Road Safety
Participation made it possible to:
— learn about current international research;
— discuss modern approaches to data-driven road safety management;
— establish professional contacts with leading TRB experts;
— express readiness for further expert contribution.
The experience gained and international cooperation create a basis for the development of a national road safety system and the adaptation of best international practices in Kazakhstan.
