Road safety, road infrastructure and transport safety are today among the key priorities of transport policy and sustainable development worldwide. Effective solutions in this field are shaped by scientific research, data analysis and the international exchange of experience.
From 11 to 15 January 2026, Arystan Massanov, Director of Kazakh Scientific Research Institute for Road Safety LLP, took part in the TRB Annual Meeting 2026 in Washington, D.C. (USA) - one of the largest international events in transport and road safety.
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) brings together specialised and technical committees working directly on road safety issues: crash analysis, road infrastructure safety, road user behaviour, speed management, the use of data and evaluating the effectiveness of measures to reduce crash risk. This multi-level expert system makes it possible to address road safety comprehensively - from scientific research to the practical implementation of solutions.
KazSRIRS's participation in the TRB Annual Meeting provided an important platform for professional dialogue, learning about advanced international practice and strengthening expert ties. The experience gained will be used to develop and improve the road safety system in the Republic of Kazakhstan. KazSRIRS continues its active international work, introducing global best practice to make the country's roads safer.
