During the lecture, students specialising in the construction of roads and transport infrastructure were introduced to practical aspects of design and construction, modern approaches to road network development and key road safety issues. Particular attention was paid to: ▪️ the engineer's role in creating a safe road environment; ▪️ the importance of integrated infrastructure solutions; ▪️ the use of modern and sustainable technologies in road and transport construction; ▪️ the relationship between design decisions, road operation and crash rates; ▪️ the importance of introducing science-based and international practices in road safety.
Arystan Massanov stressed that road safety begins at the design stage and that an engineer's professional responsibility has a direct impact on saving human lives and on the sustainable development of the country's transport system. Meetings like this help strengthen links between science, education and practice, giving future specialists a systematic understanding of the role of infrastructure and engineering solutions in ensuring safety and quality of life.
