On 22 June 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Embassy of the United States of America in Kazakhstan, organised the forum "Ensuring Public Safety in Partnership with Society: Problems and Solutions". All key aspects of public safety were presented and discussed at the forum. Particular attention was paid to road safety.
The forum was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Prosecutor General, members of Parliament, akims (heads of local administrations), the US Ambassador and leading experts. KazSRIRS Director Arystan Massanov spoke about road safety problems and the projects under way.
