On 2-6 October 2023, Prague, Czech Republic, hosted the international PIARC conference, one of the world's leading road sector events, held once every four years.
Director Arystan Massanov and Deputy Director Zhandos Amanbayev attended the conference.
Leading international specialists presented papers on new technologies, achievements and challenges in the sector. The KazSRIRS management paid particular attention to road safety, taking part in the two-day IRAP symposium, which was also attended by IRAP's leadership, represented by Rob McInerney, and by leading international IRAP specialists Judy Williams, Bruce Hamilton and Jiří Landa. Matts-Åke Belin gave a presentation on UN and WHO plans. Meetings were also held with leading stakeholders and road safety specialists.
Mr Arystan Massanov, a PIARC member for several years, outlined current road safety challenges, including topical proposals for reducing deaths and injuries from road crashes.
Our management learned about the latest road construction technologies, in particular construction materials, additives, safety barriers, tunnel safety and much more.
